Petaluma
Founded as a river port in the 19th century, Petaluma grew up as a city of Victorian homes. Century-old warehouses built to stock river-run merchandise, such as potatoes, hardware and silk, still line the Petaluma River downtown. West Petaluma's old-fashioned charm has not gone unnoticed by Hollywood. Parts of American Graffiti were filmed along Petaluma Boulevard, and Peggy Sue Got Married made use of some residential streets.
